Operation Mend and the Importance Of Donations

The importance of working with organizations that help to heal wounded service men and women should be considered when looking to donate money to organizations. The presence of such groups as the Operation Mend organization should be considered. Operation Mend works with some of the best surgeons in the country to help wounded soldiers that returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan with facial burns. The surgeons are specialized in reconstructive and plastic surgery. They work alongside of the UCLA Medical Center health system to help repair the physical wounds of our soldiers.  The burn center will work with the surgeons to make sure that the soldier has a chance to return to a normal life.

The success of the Operation Mend program incorporates the dedication of those who are certified to perform surgeries and work with these individuals through rehabilitation once they have started to heal. It also includes the dedication of others such as those people who help to make sure that not only are our soldiers taken care of, but their families as well. It also takes a large number of people to help make sure that someone has the ability to return to a normal, everyday life.
